|
This is a Christian international development organisation which has been working in the region since 1982. It partners with local organisations who work with vulnerable, marginalised and disadvantaged people and aims to establish sustainable projects, cooperating with local staff and sourcing local resources where possible, sharing vision, building capacity and improving professional skills with our partners. It has been working with people with disabilities for a number of years. Since 2006 much of this work has been brought together under one project which aims to build the professional capacity of centres through training, networking and organisational development, and encourage the social and professional inclusion of people with disability, as well as develop the quality of community-based care. There is need for physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers with experience working with people with disabilities, special needs teachers, handicraft teachers, psychologist and home care assistants. As well as seeking personnel with relevant qualifications and experience, we look for key abilities in networking, training, group work skills and modelling good practice. |
