This is an exciting new English-medium university in a fascinating and dynamic part of the world.
Located in a major capital city, it is one of the first Western-style universities created with the support of other leading universities around the world.
The goal of the university is nothing less than to create a leading higher educational institution not only in Central Asia but on the Eurasian continent.
The university opened in late 2010 with 500 of the best students in the country who were accepted using the admissions standards of its international partners.
Since then the student body and the faculty continue to expand rapidly.
The School of Humanities and Social Science is seeking applicants who hold a Ph.D. or terminal degree, preferably from a Western or leading international university.
Responsibilities will include teaching History classes (including History of Kazakhstan), curriculum and program development, research, as well as providing departmental guidance and leadership.
Research is an important criterion for selection in all disciplines.
Some of the benefits offered include a competitive salary, full medical benefits, housing, and spousal benefits (travel and medical).
Faculty will also be provided free training in the local languages.
